HackMii Installer v0.8 and v1.0.8 Homebrew Channel released – now supports USB 2. 0

Just a quick post for all of you to let you know that a new version of HackMii Installer was launched, v0.8 to be exact.

This new version now includes the Homebrew Channel v1.0.8 and BootMii beta 6 (v1.3), which is a big surprise since v1.0.7 Homebrew Channel was released just a few weeks ago.

The main reason for the launch of the new v1.0.8 Homebrew Channel is the added support for USB devices.0, i.e. faster loading times for items in mass storage devices USB 2. 0.

If you would like to take advantage of the 2 USB support.0, you must have installed on your Wii IOS58. If you are running system will already have this menu 4.3. If you're on an older system menu that you want to have to upgrade to 4.3 or use this handy little homebrew application called IOS58 Installer to install IOS58 without the need to update the 4.3.

Here are the details of publication for the new installer HackMii, Homebrew channel and BootMii:

HackMii Installer (v0.8):

IOS58 is chosen for the homebrew channel installed., when this is required to support USB 2.Other versions of IOS naturally are still supported, but USB is limited to version 1.

BootMii beta 6 (v1.3):

Fixed freeze when not using automatic boot capability to load the system menu with a delay of CW NAND backup fails when stumbling uncorrectable pages. The couple of fixes for the built in feature of automatic startup SD browser is ignored when starting the IOS version ofBootMii.

The homebrew channel (v1.0.8):

General USB improvements for all versions of IOS, this fixes a regression introduced in version 1.0.7. USB2 support through IOS58.

If you have already installed the homebrew channel and its Wi-Fi configuration it should prompt you to refresh when you then run it if you would like to download the new HackMii Installer to install the homebrew channel or BootMii manually you can download it here.
